How a state raises revenue matters as much as how it spends it. Dr. Bradley Hardy Distinguished Professor in the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, will share research describing the link between tax system design and investments in education and infant health outcomes. His work also finds that regressive tax policy are oftentimes closely linked to racial resentment. Tax codes may ultimately reflect deeper patterns of exclusion that themselves shape well-being. And, these findings and those of others working in this domain have implications for how tax policy is designed and implemented across the country.
Join the Tax Equity Funders Network on Wednesday, December 9th to learn more about this research and how charitable foundations can work to address equity in the tax code and tax systems.
This program is open to staff of charitable foundations, philanthropic infrastructure
organizations, and consultants to philanthropy working for member foundations.
