Paying our taxes is part of how we work collectively as Americans. By putting our funds together (through taxes) we work collectively to pay for roads, schools, health care, child care, national security, environmental protection and everything else.
While paying taxes is part of our collective American experience, the agency that helps to process our taxes, the IRS, has been severely underfunded for years and recently come under attack. This chronic underfunding and attacks undermines the agency’s ability to work efficiently and equitably.
Join the EITC Funder Network and Economic Opportunity Funders in a conversation about the recent attacks on the IRS and why they matter to funders who care about fair and equitable systems.
This session is open to staff of philanthropic organizations and philanthropic advisors.
