This work has been part of a steady walk for RMHF since 2015. Our Trustees had a retreat that year where they talked about the social determinants of health and thinking beyond healthcare.
There has been much written about the impact of the Child Tax Credit expansion on rates of child poverty, including in our own work. And indeed, a 40% reduction in child poverty is nothing to sneeze at.

Dogwood Health Trust works to dramatically improve the health and wellbeing of all people and communities of Western North Carolina.
CFNOVA and UC partnered to ensure more families in Northern Virginia could gain access to the CTC & EITC through free tax prep services.
The EITC Funders Network brings together charitable foundations working to make a positive impact on economic security for individuals and families through tax credits.
